REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I don't have the (at times irrational) disdain some of you do for Peyton, but that was a disgrace of a Super Bowl. We waited two weeks for that.

Kapernick s performance doesn't look to bad now does it?

Kaepernick's passing performance was terrible. Wasn't that much worse than Peyton's but to get Peyton a little bit of credit he faced a rested Seahawks who had more time to prepare for him.

What I find funny about reading facebook after the game, so many people were dumb and tried to make a drinking game about Omaha, considering how much it was talked about during the week, anyone with a brain would realize Peyton wouldn't use that call in the Superbowl, evenif the call means different things at different times of the game and what not, he released that information so that Seattle coaches would go through all the film and try to detect a pattern. Then the defense could have an advantage.

Yeah, but the 49ers played in Seattle. This was a neutral field with about 50% of the noise in Seattle. Kaep showed something against Seattle with lesser weapons than Peyton in tougher circumstances. Maybe Kaep aint that bad after all!

Ahd they played the Seahawks twice so were more used to the Seahawks pace. Witnessing speed on the field and watching it are 2 different monsters.

And Kaeprnick is a good QB, borderline top 10, could easily find his way in there depending on his growth and guys who enter the NFL.

That said he's behind Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, Rivers (if he's legit) Romo, Brees Wilson, and Ryan for sure right now and he's in that scrum of players with Roethlisberger, Stafford, Luck, Scam, Palmer, Cutler, and maybe Bradford for the next group.

If you want to play transitive properties and all that maybe you could take away something about Kaep from a Super Bowl game in which Kaep didn't play... but its a reach AT BEST.

That was brutal game. It was hard to watch. Not one exciting series that I can remember.

All I know is that one of the greatest QB'sin the history of the NFL with ridiculous weapons on a neutral field couldn't do what Kaep did with lesser weapons in Seattles home building.

Imgaine if he had Peytons weapons!?!?!?!?!?!?

What exactly did Kaeprnick do against Seattle? 1 TD 2 picks, shat the bed in the 4th quarter. I'm confused as to this amazing game he played. He ran a lot, he has that. And Crabtree, Boldin, and Davis is not too shabby of a weapon source. And I'm fairly certain Kaepernick can't use Peyton's weapons as well as Peyton can, he lacks the ability to throw a great intermediate ball which is Thomas's bread and butter.

Running is part of the equation with Kaep. Of course he can't throw the ball with guys like Manning.

I'm just trying to have some fun in the morning. Helps me from crying because Seattle just won the damn superbowl.

And his running creates more lanes to throw which should make his passing better. Imagine how awful he'd be if he was immobile like Peyton?

If it makes any sense, running/mobile QB's are better against their defense than immobile/pocket QB's.

They did play them in the preseason, but i dont know how much of a factor not seeing them very much like SF has in the past 2 years had to do with anything.
