Well, Colorado has no outstanding race issues at all nope. Police didn't kill an unarmed black musician and then get cleared completely in the subsequent investigation. Nope nothing like that ever happened.
 
Manfred is an embarrassment. This whole All Star Game thing is absolutely ridiculous but totally on brand for this jackass.

Let's not forget Manfred is the guy who essentially looked the other way on the Red Sox sign stealing and has actively worked to cover for the Yankees. Gotta protect the sacred cows.

I won't watch baseball until this tool is fired. I promised it at the end of last season seeing how broken the game has gotten under his leadership and I maintain that.

Without caring to research the voting requirements in Georgia and Colorado, I have to applaud how absolutely moronic it was for MLB to put itself in this position. It doesn’t matter whether Colorado is on the whole better, they invited this type of scrutiny. They will forever be held to this new standard they created. Every. Single. Year. They will need to justify their ASG location selection.

At least the NFL is savvy enough to throw each side a bone.

Don’t know the answer to this question, but a lot more businesses outside of the battery stood to benefit and plenty of them would be black owned.

well, the predominant amount of the money would be spent in Cobb county and the battery

i mean, the figure people used was for Atlanta Metro when talking about hurting black people

i'd be curious to know those numbers. i know the stats on population in Cobb

and it isn't like metro atlanta

Very good point. There's no city in the country that going to be perfect. You can find a reason to exclude everywhere that's just as valid as excluding Atlanta.

Manfred could have easily dodged this by saying how baseball condemns any attempt to suppress voters but will not punish innocent individuals standing to benefit from the event for the actions of a few officials. They should have instead made a donation to a get out to vote initiative to show they were committed to action.

That would have actually been more effective to positively impact voter turnout than moving the game.
