Braves acquire Orlando Arcia, per Rosenthal

Something serious must’ve happened to Adrianza.

I see this guy was a consensus top 10 prospect a few years ago. I guess this is a high upside play?

He made some promising strides in the short season but given the rest of his track record Id assume that was more of a sample size thing. Maybe Seitzer sees something. I can’t imagine the 2 pitchers we gave up were worth much.

More of a "OMG we can't have Camargo be the backup SS" play.

FWIW, the way I understood it was that Adrianza was just having to wait out COVID protocols since he'd been away from the team.

I like this move a lot, depending on cost. He's exactly the sort of back-up SS I wanted a month ago. Good defender and the bat is probably better than most would expect from a backup SS. If he hits anything like he did last year, he's a fantastic bench piece.

Probably too optimistic, but I hope Luke Jackson is one of the 2 pitchers going the other way.

If he can even hit at his career averages, he is an upgrade over Hech/Camargo from 2020.

Sobotka is Sobotka, but I’m just a tiny bit surprised they’re giving up on Weigel without ever really giving him a shot.

Either way, not a bad avenue to consolidate two fringe-40-man guys into a single less-fringy guy.

Remember last year?

If only AA could follow this up with a deal to add a legitimate 4th OF bat (while giving nothing up) and making Ender the 26th man when we go to a 5 man benc/5 man rotation/10 man pen I'd be pretty happy for a while.

Actually, I'll rephrase - GO SIGN REDDICK!!!

Everyone knows ender wait till it warms up to hit. He'll be serving LDs to LF in no time, or maybe he won't... my crystal ball is a little fuzzy
