The appeasement is certainly the purpose of the commission but it’s also another step that was taken to normalize it to the country.

That is dangerous on its own.

Over the last thirty years the Republicans have won the popular vote in one presidential election, and people are surprised we are upset to only a third of the Supreme Court. I think it will depend on his activist this court turns out to be. If they start overturning precidents we won’t have a choice.

The justices are supposed to follow the constitution.

Oh yeah your version of the Constitution where equal protection isn’t that important, voter rights, aren’t protected while gun rights are absolute and unquestioned while states can make private medical decisions for women.

The dems have the executive, the house, and senate

let me go look up your comments about Georgia and every other republican trying to change laws to make sure they don't lose again

by they way, they didn't lose, that's why they can look at doing this.

weird that you say mitch is doing nothing wrong or illegal when he plays within the bull**** rules

but when democrats want to do something similar, it's wrong

Court packing is a terrible idea. If Democrats actually succeeded in adding justices, what happens the next time Republicans control both houses and the presidency? Do you think they'll just say "Aw shucks, you got us. Guess we have to sit here and let the court go to the left."? No. If the Democrats add 4, the Republicans will add 6. What happens when we get to a 200 person Supreme Court?

The issue here is that people don't understand the Supreme Court. They don't understand what the Supreme Court does, why it does what it does, or even how it does what it does.

Don't break something you don't understand because you want quick wins on a handful of social issues.

The laws in Georgia are more of a proponent to voting than the presidents home state of Delaware, yet we are "Jim Crow". His words.

I sincerely hope the thing that comes out of court packing talk is a constitutional amendment setting the number of SCOTUS justices at 9.

Striker, I’m not the smartest guy and I know there’s loopholes in laws, but could the Dems force this through or not without the Senate votes?
