I'm not really surprised Biden is popular...he's continued some of Trump's more popular policies (tariffs, not letting in migrants, keeping kids in cages, the vaccine distribution), while not being Trump the man...and he's spent the rest of the time giving away free money/trying to push through massive spending (even moreso than Trump) that most poll responders think some else will be paying for
These things all poll well. It's Trump's populism on steroids with a friendlier face
And I should add that it doesn't hurt to have a media telling the story that's completely in the tank for him

You only have to look at their polling methodology to understand how these numbers occur.
Total sample - 5,109
Rep/Lean Rep - 1,706
Dem/Lean Dem - 3,253
THey do apply a weighting also:
Rep - 42%
Dem - 53%
This is just surface level observations. We can go further in to understand how these absurd numbers are derived.
Draw your own conclusions.
He is not popular.
He benefits from a corrupt polling system that everyone should know has been fully exposed from the 2020 debacle.
