The Coronavirus, not the beer

Your issue is you think 100% of the obese working age population worked. But you go ahead and make your faulty assumptions.

Obese people should make their own decisions and the rest of us should have kept the economy afloat. Instead of your ~55% of working age people [not actual workers] that could have stayed working is much higher than the population that actually worked and consumed during the pandemic.

Lockdowns have undoubtedly caused massive generational economic and societal devastation. Look at what is happening around the country right now.

Problem is we were never honest with the people. Bill Maher said the same as well.

One of my first arguments with Carp income virus was that a blended death rate is the worst way to look at this pandemic. Another piece I was right about.

Even if 50% of the obese population didn't work (which is asinine to believe) that's still basically 20% of the population without a job, According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics we saw a 5% loss of jobs from COVID pandemic. So care to explain how your plan is better? Oh wait you can't because we witness what happened when no one does anything about COVID. Brazil, which has a 3 day average of 3000 deaths

Bump for Zito.

There is no mention of economy in this data. It's just deaths.

All those liberty restrictions you drooled over gave us worse outcomes AND wrecked economies.

What a weird and stupid rant. The party of science is no longer interested in data and evidence

Did you read your post? Did you?

You literally said

"You wrecked your economy and made everyone miserable and destroyed your citizens rights, while leading the nation in unemployed and homeless... All to achieve the same outcomes as FL and TX"

If California got "worse outcomes" how come they have a death rate of 154 per 100K to FLorida's 156 (and certainly lying about their numbers) and texas's 171?

Weird you don't bring up rates of New Hampshire. One would think the right would want to look at it. 93 deaths per 100K Has had less job loss than Texas even though Tourism is a huge business in NH, is currently sitting at 3% unemployment rate, much lower than Texas or Florida, why is no one talking about New Hampshire? Could it be because their republican Governor has been encouraging mask wearing and social distancing? COULD IT BE?

Also realize most major texas cities still have mask mandates. **** like that matters. Not that I'd expect you to remotely understand simple facts.

Tell me more about outcomes.

And please... keep quadrupling down... and DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE MESSAGING!!

The wild thing is that their positions have not budged.

Trump was the problem.

Cuomo, Newsom, Whitmer were the heroes.

It is baffling

Proof of the power our media still holds. I was on the lockdown, all virtual, everyone in a mask, side. It's pretty clear that was the wrong side.

I still think partying in bars was stupid, and that crowds should have been minimized, but the data proves that the drastic measures so many of us were willing to embrace were obviously overboard.

Further, the reaction of government and medical officials to the crowds attending the BLM riots last summer make it obvious that they believed the restrictions were overkill as well. That was the real giveaway in all of this.

And how many of those people could work from home? I’ll tell you what. Lots of fatties in accounting.

That was a big tell. Stay locked down unless you want to riot

I remember the lecturer having a meltdown about there were no public officials who encouraged lockdowns and protests.

Took me 5 min to fin several examples.

Just another thing he was wrong about. A massive list

No one still pounding the table about managing ones own health via diet and exercise. Take the lockdown to examine your diet and get outside and MOVE!

I member the "no correlation with obesity" positions like it was yesterday. It was amazing.

He doubled down the other day saying Russia isn't obese so it must not be obesity

The covid deaths per capita in R governor states and D governor states are nearly identical.

But the unemployment in D states is 39% higher than R states.

NY, the gold standard, ranks 49th and 50th respectively

I wonder what’s worse.

Putting your full support behind Cuomo or Whitmer.

Embarrassing.

that piece of **** ted saying it's the worst he's ever felt being sick and feels like dying is just too funny after spending a year calling it a scam

but it's on brand for he and his ilk

I dunno, judging by stats, they're all prevalent in most fields, aside from things like Military etc. But you believe what you want to believe. There's no convincing you if you think putting that many people out of work (hint if you have to move say 20% of your workforce to remote, you may just consider letting that workforce go) is better than what we did? Come on, use what few functioning brain cells you have left.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/numbers-dont-add-up-for-the-vaccine-pause-11618934275?mod=opinion_major_pos17

Your editorial “The J&J Covid Vaccine Pause” (April 14) doesn’t make the necessary inferences. Six people in 6.8 million vaccinated have had cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). The “natural” annual incidence of these brain blood clots ranges from two to 16 per million. Using these figures, we would expect between 13 and 109 clots annually in 6.8 million people. Since the vaccine has been available for around six weeks, however, we’d expect between two and 13 clots over this period. Thus, the rate of clots in the vaccinated is similar to the “natural” rate. A U.K. study also shows that a Covid patient’s risk of CVST is 100 times greater than normal and eight-to-10 times that of a vaccinated person. The CDC and FDA may be overreacting.
