Upcoming Roster Moves

We have some roster moves to make over the next couple days that should start putting our team in better shape.

We have to get back to at least a 4 man bench (should really be 5 but maybe later) by tomorrow. I expect we’ll see Biddle DFA’d and Arcia recalled. I can’t imagine we bring Camargo back up again and anyone else would have added to the 40 man. Also we currently have 6 LHP in our pen with Biddle Dayton Matzek Minter Newk and Smith which is way too many so it makes sense to get rid of the worst one.

On Wednesday Fried should be back and I think Webb is optioned. Webb is one of the few pieces we can send down and keep.

When Martin returns I look for Nate Jones to get the boot. He’s just been awful.

Yeah I didn’t know that. I thought he’d been around long enough to be out and we’d risk losing (not a big loss) him if we sent him down.
 
They will somehow turn the Nate Jones roster spot into 2 more BP arms. By tomorrow they will have 8 starting position players, Pablo and Mathis on the bench, 4 SPs, and 12 BP arms (and 8 of them will be LHP).

Snit will still make the SP face the order a 3rd time at 80+ pitches rather than use any of those BP arms. He will also use Mathis to PR for Pablo at some point, ensuring minimal impact by the last bench player available.

I hope Fried doesn't injure himself playing CF.

Of course DOB and Bowman are completely MIA here - wouldn't be surprised if they have already forgotten the team traded for him.

Apparently they've been told the embargo on questions about anyone at the alternate site or with a minor league affiliate still stands.
 
Man I don't get at all why we even traded for Arcia at this point. We traded right handed potential relievers for an IFer not to be on the big league club while we have a bullpen that's reeling. The only thing I can think of is they saw something in Arcia's swing that if changed could open up more of his potential and he's working on that swing rebuild at the alternate site. But that's a huge reach... I have no idea what the heck is going on with this situation. DOB and Bowman are terrible
 
DOB will find the dumbest questions on his feed, quote share them and only answer those just to make him seem smarter than actuality. I don’t know the status of other teams’ beat writers, but the Braves have poor ones (to go along with poor announcers).

He also seems to get super defensive quite often, almost like he's doing everyone a favor when he does his job. It's like he thinks he's some sort of talented celebrity who provides content nobody else could possibly produce. Almost like an entitled D list celebrity who thinks they are a bigger deal than they really are.

Rather than simply posting a link to past explanations that may exist like any normal professional would, he has to throw in a little cry baby remark that takes a dig at the reader. "Sorry you missed it"...what a twat.

That's what it looks like, but (as usual) that doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense - now you've got the two lefties that rely on big curveballs going back-to-back.
