I doubt they fire Snitker anytime soon but the team is under different management now. When Gonzalez was here the team was effectively ran by JS and his boys Cox and Hart. It is my understanding that AA actually has total control unlike Wren.

I fully believe that AA has total control. I'm not sure why anyone thinks Snit is making decisions on anything. His job is to keep the players happy. He's literally fed commands by the front office.

Seriously, I'm guessing caretakers until the end of the year. Wouldn't be surprised if Ron Washington took over the managerial job. I don't know who the minor league pitching coordinator is, but if Kranitz were to go, I imagine it would be someone like that who would move into the position.
AA giving Snit another extension is his worst move yet as GM, IMO.

Snit is coming off of 3 straight NL East division titles and was extended prior to THIS season. You really think there is any chance he could get fired???

Washington has done enough Coke to be considered young. And that’s an easy sponsor with Coca-cola
I mean he did blow a 3-1 lead in the NLCS last year. The year before that we lost a 5 game playoff series where our best pitcher only pitched one game. Snit’s managing leaves games on the table. We’re not playing great right now as a team but if not for Snit’s blunders we’re probably in first right now.

I don't actually feel like it's all that uncommon for teams who have legitimate World Series talent. I believe the Dodgers fired Mattingly after three straight division titles. Nats fired Baker after two division titles in two years. Red Sox ditched Farrell after consecutive division titles. Yankees fired Girardi after a Game 7 ALCS loss. You can't afford to waste a contention window like the Braves are in with a manager who has clearly demonstrated ineptitude. As we're seeing this year with six one-run losses and being 0-7 in games that were tied in the 8th, the margins are too thin to leave anything on the table.

I am definitely concerned about our contention window. Freeman being a FA at the end of this season and with things not looking good with extension talks, I feel like he will be with the Angels next season. The looming CBA talks make it seem like a lock out is inevitable....plus a number of other factors.
That's why this season has been especially frustrating for me to watch.
