I guess my thinking is that Smyly is the type of pitcher that when things start to go bad quickly due to his HR rate and considering where he was in the game.

Btw I’ve been meaning to ask you something. We talk a lot about optimal decisions on the board. Is there something in there that includes new data collection?
 
Loved his ABs tonight and yesterday, and I’m realistic about Swanson after 2200 MLB PAs. He can look balls awful for a week at a time, and he can look like this for short stretches, and it all boils down to a decent hitter who you think should be better.

We should be beating the life out of them.
 
Contreras is pretty decent at the hitting part of his job; the catching part is a work in progress.

I don’t understand this team. This is an awful, awful lineup. Just pitch. Play good defense. Don’t screw around.
