Never seen anything like it.

So many highly unlikely coincidences piling up this season makes me confident they will snap out of it at some point. Freeman's BABIP is another extreme example. Hopefully they aren't 10+ games out when it happens.

Yeah, those back to back blown leads in the final inning in Philadelphia by our two best relievers, while we were on the cusp of getting over .500 was something else. It reminded me of all the crazy stuff that happened on September 2011 to keep us out of the playoffs.

That was the year I spent like $5000 to book a trip to Milwaukee and Atlanta to watch the entire NLDS with my dad, and the day I clicked buy on everything the Braves didn’t win another game. Ended up spending days in Atlanta with nothing to do but visit that silly aquarium and watching the Brewers play the DBacks in Milwaukee.

I’m still bitter.

Yeah. That was when they were up 3 with 5 to play. Only needed one more win against the terrible Nationals and the rested Phillies to clinch a playoff berth, and ended up going 0-5 in convincing fashion.

That’s when the collapse went from a series of unfortunate events to a certified choke job.
