Yes, the violence is so bad they are losing the area. I was there last summer and its so so bad. It really has devolved into a cesspool of crime. Basically lawlessness. No fear of retribution for the most part...

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned three people have been shot along Candler Road in DeKalb County, across from South DeKalb Mall.

Officials confirmed to Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne that a DeKalb County deputy has been wounded.


Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes is at the scene and investigators said a man went into the Big Bear store and was asked to put on a mask and an argument broke out with a woman.

Investigators said the part-time deputy tried to break up the fight and all three people ended up getting shot.
