Seven different organizations by age 28 (Padres twice, so maybe it should be eight). That's saying something. I liked his moxie when he arrived on the scene in Atlanta, but moxie only gets you so far.
 
Going forward- umps will check starters 2x or as needed. RP will get checked once.

Any substance other than rosin will result in ejection and confiscated equipment.

Any IF meeting with pitcher to give substance will also be checked and ejected I believe.

Per mlb they don’t want to see major names ejected but it will likely come to that. They are “giving
Pitchers time to adjust”

Have to think Smiley and Smith both the acquisitions that had good to great years in SF are not using anymore.
 
Gaylord made no bones about it. You just could not tell which spot on his head, hair or hat was hiding it. He touched them all 20 times. And speaking of, did anyone notice Smyley pinching his hat bill before every pitch Sunday?
