Reports: Marcell Ozuna Arrested For Domestic Battery

Apparently Ozuna told Hector Gomez that the police dept will be apologizing to him once the evidence comes to light.... more to this ?
 
I don’t think Ozuna would be out long enough for an insurance claim. I would say activate him as soon as possible and put it on Manfred to make him ineligible so we don’t have to pay him and can add salary. Then by next year we might know where his court case is goingZ we can then know when we can have him back or know our options for trying to not pay him.

If he’s on the payroll he needs to be in the lineup next year. we need to insist on that but under no circumstances should we allow ourselves to end up on the hook for the money. and let him go.
 
Ozuna's recovery time should be coming up in a week or 2. What happens when he's healthy? Does mlb suspend him? If so, does this get us out of his contract money for this season?

Come on now... you read what ozuna said. In the heat of the moment, he said some things so offensive to genesis that it was like he grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the wall. Something like that....
 
Who knows what really happened. If he’s cleared and it wasn’t as bad as first reported then put him back in the lineup bc we can’t afford to eat that kind of money.
 
Damage control. If he’s suspended long term, he (and she) stands to lose a lot of money. She will back him for that reason alone.
 
If the wife has any sense - at all- she clears his ass of this and takes a huge under the table pay out and all documents of deal are sealed. It’s really that simple.

She can’t. The police witnessed the event and filed the charges. She has no legal ability to drop charges
 
You know who is cool with DV? Ozunas wife. If she ain't got any problems with it why should we. She probably rather get her ass beat than get a job and work for a living. If it ain't bad enough for her to leave it ain't bad enough for MLB to punish him. This is similar imo to Ray Rice. Leave the two the **** alone. If she is fine with it then it's none of our buisness.

It won't go to trial if she wont testify. Cops could throw her in jail in an attempt to torture her into testifying but she is too high profile. They only do that to rape victims who nobody knows about.

This take on domestic violence is a large part of the problem. Women don't stay in abusive relationships because they like it...
