GDT 7/10/21: Braves @ Fish - Top Offensive Lineup

The Will Smith hate is misguided. He’s 18-20 in save situations with really strong peripherals across the board, including a top 10% xERA, xBA and xWOBA. He’s really good, folks. Maybe he’s not the closer people want but he’s a great reliever.

He’s been within a hair of at least 3-4 more blown saves.

Yeah but he's no Aroldis Chapman, right?

Sad about Acuna. That's really tough. I hope it's not season-ending.

Back to an even record for the seventh time this season. It took 30 games this time. If the pattern holds, we lose our next four in a row.

So what's the procedure when we on the road with a potential major injury? Do we fly them back to Atlanta to do the MRI or do they do it in the traveling city?

“Hey, fan of your team’s rival here, but I hate to see an injury to your star player” posts are the worst. Like being a fan of a rival team means you aren’t allowed to have basic human decency. You don’t get brownie points.

The Marlins tweet though is almost worth throwing at someone over.

The Marlins twitter a **** show. They fired off that classless tweet, got hammered by Braves fans, deleted it, continued to get hammered by Braves fans, and now they’re blocking any and everyone who’s saying something bad about them.

I said something similar last week when RAJ got beaned. Why does the Marlins pitch inside, but RAJ is the only one continously hit?

They may SAY they have no beef with RAJ, but the actions from the team to the media down there in Miami proves otherwise.

It's about as classless as it gets for a star to get hurt and they want to say oh look guys at this inside the park durp.
