The Biden Presidency

I'm perfectly ok with someone putting poison into their body as long as it doesn't impact me.

That means we don't close down society because you're a lazy fat ass and susceptible to bad flus.

The lecturing buffoon reliably assured me I had nothing to worry about.

What's funny is you don't know what you're talking about. And it's amusing.

While prices are skyrocketing, it's because of how ridiculous consumer trends were because of the Pandemic. It's a direct response to industries shutting down/slowing down because consumer demand was down.

So for example, the average cattle price in 2020 was down 10 dollars from 2019 and 2018. So yes prices are way up, and going up higher than they should, but they're buoyed by massive drops last year tied directly to a big change in consumer purchasing because of the pandemic.

What this is, is a bit like Kevin Sorbo crediting Trump for gas being under 2 dollars a gallon and blaming biden for it going back to 3, when 3 is basically where it lives every summer.

What we're seeing in the rising prices is a bounce from how people shifted their spending in 2020. What we'll see is a correction later that will lead some heavy changes.

I don't ever expect wood to go down much or Steel though, if people will pay the higher prices, what motivation do they have to work as hard as they did to lower the price of things. Glad I got my Traeger this month as they're about to have a price hike.

I'm starting to think maybe the CIA needs to monitor the FBI.

You clearly dont know the history of the FBI or the CIA to make a statement like that. But its cool that some of you are coming onboard. I showed numerous examples of egregious conduct by the FBI. I guess I should have posted about FBI leaking to the media. Thats apparently the line that cant be crossed for you all. I would also remind you all again that the FBI is a highly partisan group FOR Republicans. Nothing the FBI did to Trump or any of his butt buddies that was worse than what they did to Hillary announcing the reopening of the investigation days before the 2016 election. She dropped like 5% in the polls in the days between that announcement and the election.

I think you're allowing Comey's one act of grandstanding to override 5 years of evidence showing persistent partisanship in the Dems' favor. Ray Charles can see that the FBI is in the bag, and he's blind and dead.

He doesn't actually believe what he says

There was a cabal of FBI agents in NY that regularly leaked anti-Hillary stuff to Giuliani and the NY Post in 2016. I thought an inspector general was looking into to it but am not sure if a report ever came out.

I believe the data on political affiliation of FBI agents has a pretty strong skew. But I've never been one to believe that the political affiliation or views of a judge, cop, FBI agent or reporter compromised their ability to do their job in an impartial manner. Not in most cases anyhow.

I don't think political registration is a good indicator of political activism. We see activism more from one side than the other. I'm not even sure that activism is the right word for it, it's more like political evangelism. That's why O'Sullivan's Law is a real thing and not just run of the mill political speech like VRWC was.

Depends on your definition of activism. Within living memory we've had a president who has sought to weaponize DoJ and other federal agencies for his political purposes. Maybe activism isn't quite the right word for it. But it was a thang. A very big thang. And the fact that he went about it in his usual incompetent half-assed manner and that subordinates at times chose to ignore his efforts does not make it any less of a thang.
