The Nats are stupid as hell
Reason for Turner being removed from tonight’s game is he tested positive for COVID-19
We have a 6% chance of winning the division. I’d say there’s a much better than 6% chance that the players we’d get in return for Morton would be more helpful to the organization - whether as a player or a trade piece.
Probably not much greater.
So about the Tyler Anderson to the Phillies……

I always wonder "who's zooming who" when proposed deals take a sharp turn in a different direction. One of the snippets of Moneyball had Lewis describing Beane and company working on a couple of deadline deals and the "he said/he said" was pretty fascinating. Looks like Cherington may have leaked something to get the Mariners to jump.
We'll see if there's a performance difference in the proposed packages. Bins is closer to the majors than Gutierrez, so that likely plays into things.
Bryant says he’s willing to return to the Cubs next year if he’s traded now. Wonder if that’s posturing on his part or what the reason is behind the comments? Seems like comments like that will only hurt the Cubs in what they get back for him in a trade.
Any read about the Mariner players reaction to the trade yesterday of Graveman? They are 1 game out of a playoff spot and Dipoto traded their best reliever for 2 no ones.
Didn't address the players at all, they found out from the press. Yiesshhh
Heyman: The Braves were a buyer when they acquired Joc Pederson and in a tight NL East they will continue to buy. Only question is how aggressive to be. So no, Charlie Morton will not hit the market. Braves are 4 games back even without Acuna, Ozuna, Soroka. So understandable stance.
The dream is dead.
I never saw AA giving in and selling. He knows TDA and Ynoa are coming back in a few weeks and will help along with whatever he trades for. The division is terrible this year.
Depending on the site you look at, we have a 4-9% chance at making the playoffs.
