And of course he ****ing blows through Nimmo. Still he’s pitched well enough to where a competent offense would have the game in hand.

I understand but I’d really love to know which of our pinch hitters would have actually done anything there. Martin would have given up a bomb (likely to Smith) as he’s been prone to do in those situations. Matzek likely would have come out wild and gotten into a mess. Fried, not for the first time, lost focus with two outs and no one on and made a bad pitch to a cast-off player.
