This is definitely a critical year for the Braves in terms of success. We have Fried and Soroka for a few more years, Acuna and Albies locked up. But outside of them (a great core btw) we do have expiring contracts that will leave areas to be addressed.

The whole in LF with Ozuna, whether he plays or doesn't, the Catching position when d'Arnaud becomes a FA, Freeman and if they extend him. Swanson with only 1 year left on his deal.

I know we had hope coming into this season, but honestly, as soon as you saw Heredia, Almonte, Adrianza, etc becoming major factors in our everyday lineup, you knew we were FINNISH.

After last night, i'm okay with selling. I'd take the best offer on Morton, Jackson, d'Arnaud, Adrianza, Smyly, and possibly even Swanson.
 
See if Rays have any interest in Morton. If not, keep him and make offer to extend thru 22. Keep TDA, hope to sign for 2-3M for 22. Keep Adrianza move Swanson. Best offer for Smyly. DFA K Smith, bring up Jackson. Move Contreras to LF today at Gwinnett. Offer FF to SD for Hosmer, money, Abrams plus. Offer FF to LAA for Upton, Walsh plus. See if any interest in W Smith.

If Hosmer were the price for taking on some of their top prospects, then I hope to God he hits for two months so we can shop him around in the offseason. I'd rather see Riley at first and us go after a third baseman (think Jose Ramirez) than Hosmer the next couple years. I'm preparing myself for AA to do nothing one way or the other, in which case I hope we work on extensions for Freddie (I believe he is critical to our chances of winning a title in this windown), Charlie as a continued veteran presence and make a push for Marte in the offseason. Fine with trying to bring TDA back. The DFA of K. Smith should have already happened. Contreras to LF is an interesting idea if we kept TDA. Maybe as a partner with Pederson if we still have him and get Marte for center.

Marte as a rental = good idea. Going forward money can be better spent. Hosmer would have to come with money plus the prospects. At 13M he is not that bad if this year is abnormal. There are reasons LA let Pederson go and Cubs traded him. IMO not wise to fall in love with Joc. Riley looks to be long term third base fixture. Acuna long term CFer makes lots of sense if AA uses Pache and Waters to fix other problems.
I would move Tomlin and look at Wilson as long reliever. Trade Martin and see if Wright can fit in his place. Sadly my name is not AA and I really dont want to give up my retirement.
