The Coronavirus, not the beer

Saying that "the left" is just as dehumanizing as "deplorable" is a heck of a stretch, even for your recent self.

So how bad is this delta variant? I've sort of checked out on covid news since cases were going down earlier in the year and I've already got vaccinated. My wife had a mild chest cold that latest a couple of weeks about a month ago. Didn't bother getting tested and now wonder if she had it.

i cited the left, the deplorables, the Unvaccinated, the tyrants, and the commies in my post

i think lumping people as some sort of undifferentiated mass like that is dehumanizing...and acknowledged it is something i've been guilty off

Tracy makes a good point

Unvaccinated isn't a uniform ideology like 'the left' or 'Communists' so I think you missed the actual point.

All the new greek alphabet strains will be worse than the one prior!

You ask a good question. I find some of the information out there to be confusing, even info from reliable sources. I'm visiting my mother at the moment and we were just chatting about whether she will need a booster. She had her second shot in late January. I've been keeping an eye on deaths in Israel. 1-2 per day. As long as it stays that low it suggests to me the vaccine is still pretty effective even past the six month date. At least against deaths.

I guess worse is subjective. With what viruses are supposed to do it wouldn't surprise me if they keep getting more infectious (to a certain point) but the severity of symptoms decrease.

Traitors... treasonous... you know... completely normal to call half of the country treasonous... real picture of democracy

I mean... you basically want anyone who doesn't agree the election was stolen kicked out of the country or in prison... maybe you even want them all dead... wouldn't be surprised

Nothing says democracy like getting rid of half the population

We conduct a case study of Ohio's Vax-A-Million initiative, the first CCL targeting COVID-19 vaccinations. Forming a synthetic control from other states, we find that Ohio’s incentive scheme increases the vaccinated share of state population by 1.5 percent (0.7 pp), costing sixty-eight dollars per person persuaded to vaccinate. We show this causes significant reductions in COVID-19, preventing at least one infection for every six vaccinations that the lottery had successfully encouraged.

FWIW…

Right, and then I pointed out how ridiculous it was to try to equate Deplorables with The Left.

I actually know someone who's wife won one of the million dollar vaccine drawings

Didn't think the usual fascists would have anything to say about this... as usual
