Trades/acquisitions

Yep, 3-2 is the one outcome that makes it unclear on what to do. 2-3 would be 6 games out and done, probably. 4-1, you're right in it.

Possibility of Twins trading RHP Jose Berríos increasing, sources tell me and
@DanHayesMLB
. Market exceeded Twins’ expectations; team now has offers in hand. Virtually all contenders have checked in. SD, TOR, LAD, TB, NYY among those with varying levels of interest.

If starting pitching was more of a glaring need, I'd love Berrios... but right now... somehow are starters are the strong part of the team

3-4 win player with an extra year of control. I'm curious what the offers for him are.

I'm kind of surprised the Twins are interested in trading Berrios. The Twins are much like us - have alot of really strong core pieces, but got snakebit this year.

Austin Riley just hit another homer. I cannot even begin to describe how nice he's been for the Braves. That covers another place the Braves won't need to add at the deadline :)

One of the few bright spots of this year. He's probably more of a .250 -.260 hitter long term, but as long as he can maintain his current career line of .256/.324/.476, then he will be very valuable for u. Especially given his defensive flexibility.

Alright - Let me see how bad of an idea this is for the community.

Rockies pay half of Blackmons remaining salary (including player options). It would only costs a 40FV or less prospect.

Should the Braves inquire?

No

3B is a possible upgrade spot with Riley shifting to LF. He is that bad over there.

He doesn't look that bad on the eye test though. But last year's numbers and this year's number certainly suggest he's a pretty poor defender at the hot corner

I'm wondering why the Cubs aren't pushing Willson Contreras and Javy Baez more in trades. You'd figure both of those guys would bring in just as much, if not more than Bryant, being they are both easily the best available players at their respective positions.
