One exec said the ask on Trevor Story has dropped and now feels more than less likely that the #Rockies SS will be traded. 2 hours until the deadline. #RealPricesEmerge

Didn't he just turn down $80m in Minn? Or was that his asking price?

80 was the reported deal but didn’t have years or incentives reported. I don’t think he is getting 20 million a year with his prime years being right now and him on DL all the time. I would venture to say that was 5 years with 2 option years for 80 million. Right now he is a 2-3 win player with injury history. Can’t see him getting more than 15 million a year IMO.

Is Rosario going to settle for a bench role? My guess he's a free agent again next year and he'll get another stamp on his baseball passport.

That is the logical thing to happen. Don’t think the market was very strong for him last winter. Can’t imagine him having much attention this time around either.

Fantastic take.

**** or get off the pot. Hoarding prospects and expiring contracts isn't a good plan to sustain this team going forward. The lack of properly addressing our needs this off-season, along with the lack of a FF extension, and a failure to sell on this team now has definitely given me cause to seriously doubt AA's future as our GM.

They should not sell when they are four games out with a weak division leader.

None of the goals of a baseball team really line up with that.

It was 7/73 and then 7/80. I laid this out earlier in the week.

He and Duvall are twin baseball sons from different mothers. Don't get me wrong. They both have had some success. But I think most of baseball sees them as starters on a non-contender and 4th/5th OFs on a contender. They are both major league players, but their role is really dependent on who surrounds them.
