Trades/acquisitions

To me, the acquisitions of Duvall and Rosario signal that's all we're going to be getting as far as hitters. I could be wrong. I'd be surprised if we don't get another bullpen arm though, although not an elite one.

Well sounds like we are at least making a run at Buxton

Duvall and Rosario cost nothing. Getting a talent like Buxton and hoping for a better run of health is not something that gets blocked by low cost fringe moves.

Buxton is a big, big deal if it happens.

See...plenty of folks think Duvall is a great addition, so mission accomplished by the FO.

Well, with the benefit of hindsight you can argue that we need him.

Agree or not, you can see the argument either way at the time they made the decision not to sign him.

My thoughts exactly. There is no other spot available to upgrade the offense. We are set at 1B, 2B, C, SS, 3B, RF, LF....I guess CF could use an upgrade of course.

But Heredia, Almonte, Pederson, Duvall provide a lot of bodies out there.

Our bullpen is definitely in desperate need up upgrading. Several relievers.

The contenders have spoken during this trade deadline like no other in recent years:
You want a legitimate chance to reach the playoffs, and win the World Series, you have to trade prospects. And these prized prospects are flying off the board.

I would wish Sandoval got a chance to hug his teammates one last time. He was just a positive guy to have around, even when he was positively bad.
