Trades/acquisitions

And they left the city of Atlanta (predominantly black) for the lily white suburbs.

Not a good look for a franchise with ZERO African American players to make no effort to rectify these issues.

Not for nothing, but it was the right call. Atlanta can't stop shooting itself in the streets right now. No one would be going to a ball game at Turner with ATL proper how it is right now.

And by the way, Turner is literally falling apart.

And ANOTHER THING - getting a player " because he might improve ratings " is like the last variable that needs to be considered for acquiring a player

Yeah the stadium location has been a homerun and looks to be a big asset long term for the organization.

Ted? Or the Georgia State stadium?

I've never quite understood the resentment over moving the stadium out of a slum.

Granted I've not made my trip to the new digs, but it's not like there was anything nice or cool about the old ones

The area around the stadium was dreadful. Just depressing.

I can't wait to see the new site.

Who cares about Baez?

Granted, I didn't look up his stats recently. Knew he had belted 20 homers and assumed he was back to his 18' - 19' form. Sub .300 OBP is rough.
Still though, he's basically been a 3 WAR player so far this year, which is nothing to sneeze at.

It's beautiful, and the kind of place you can spend a few hours around the ballpark instead of only walking to and from your car. I'm sure some people are mad they moved. I also know a ton of people who never went before and now go to 10 or 20 games a year.

So what are we comparing. Braves are first in attendance.

TV ratings, social media engagement, total local revenue, etc.

The Braves are 3rd in their own state. They are definitely behind Georgia Bulldogs football, too.

It doesn't have to be that way.

The Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers, Giants, Red Sox, etc. are wildly popular in cities with MORE competition than the Braves have.

We are a **** franchise with a **** GM and **** ownership. John Malone cares more about acquiring more land in Montana than winning the East.

Is what it is. The 90s are never coming back.

It's ignorant.

He's the best defensive CF in baseball by a mile and has done nothing but improve, having a monster year before the injury.

He's also entertaining as Hell. From Georgia. African American. Etc, etc.

But by all means, put another boring stiff in center field.

****er.

Dude there are links for fascinations with Black dudes.

This starium is set up to entertain both baseball fans and non baseball fans alike. You can go get crazy drunk or not drink at all and have a great time. Area feels safe and is easy to get around. Only complaint is with state. A rail stop should be added to that location somehow.
