Trades/acquisitions

And the start working on Riley’s.

Normally I would say that we shouldn't sign someone having a career year, but Riley strikes me as someone with a low opinion of themselves, so I'm guessing we could still get a cheap deal done.

You just can't be upset with how this went down. We will be getting competitive September and hopefully October baseball.

Snit has a ton of options now for different matchups and that will ply hell for opposing managers. AA hopefully has a leash on Snit when he doesn’t follow instructions.

Whatever it takes.

He didn't hurt the farm system much, grabbed a quality reliever, and upgraded the OF with a chance to hit it big there.

I still think he should have been a seller, but Anthopoulos at least made it interesting.

If we weren't going to sell, this was the next best course of action. Make several smaller trades without giving up much and hope that guys coming back from the IL are enough to close the gap.

I feel comfortable in saying this is an above .500 club going forward now.

For those of you angry about the HR-or-bust nature of this offense....you ain't seen nothing yet!

Ha. Maybe AA thinks its inevitable that the odds will play in our favor that at least one or two players from the Island of Misfit Toys will be on a hot streak at any given time such that you never have all boom or bust.
