Trades/acquisitions

No, he has proven he won't. The first guy to have a multi-hit game with a HR will be the everyday guy for the rest of August. Meanwhile, the other OFers will rot on the bench watching Smyly bat in the 6th inning of every close game so he can face 2 more batters the next inning.

A competent manager could turn these pieces into something. Unfortunately, Snit is not that guy.

Any chance we included Snit in a late trade?

Rodriguez a steal even if he gets here and sucks.

Not sure what to make of all the outfielders. Does AA think we still have the DH? Are we really thinking about trying Joc in center?

Thought AA was more into analytics than adding three sub .300 OBP guys. Is he going to write the lineups each day for Snit?

I say just fake it with Joc and Duvall and remove Heredia all together.

In that case, I think Duvall is the best fake CF of the bunch, and Heredia is relegated to pinch running and defensive sub late in the game, pushing Duvall to a corner.

maybe this deadline is the mark of AA taking the reigns a bit more and has nerds in Twits ear more. we can only hope.. This collection is really intriguing. I like some bounce back chances for some of these guys being in a better environment.

Even if none of these deals amount to anything, I think AA might be a pretty good GM after all.

All that whining for weeks, and AA ends up remaking the entire OF and bench, bolsters the C position, and adds an impact BP arm...all for the cost of spare parts and Wilson, who is nothing to cry about losing.
