Lot of FCL roster additions today. Draftees Tyler Collins, Dylan Spain, Adam Zebrowski and Caleb Durbin all active, joining Tyler Tolve who was active Saturday. And undrafted signees Anderson De Los Santos and JJ Niekro also active. They're playing a double header today (if the weather cooperates), so hopefully they'll see some action. And hopefully it means we'll start seeing some guys added to the Augusta roster.

Burrows needs to be a throw in to a bottom dweller this winter. He should be able to stick in someone's bullpen but it isn't going to happen in Atlanta.

I think he was viewed as a solid pick-up, but I seem to remember Luiz Gohara was the big name coming to Atlanta, but it never fell together for him. Gohara was really heavy and I think he fell apart emotionally after his father died (understandable) and just faded away.

It's funny (not in a ha-ha sense) how deals sometimes work out. I thought the Braves would rue trading Mallex Smith for a decent relief pitcher and a lottery ticket, but in addition to the Gohara saga, Mallex is scuffling in AAA, Burrows can't seem to break through, and Shae Simmons (the other player the Braves sent to Seattle) never regained his form after arm surgery after showing some early promise.

Hey 50. I posted about him a couple of weeks ago. He's the real deal so far that my untrained eyes can tell. Ball seems to explode with a rising type action. They say he hits 99 regularly, I guesstimated 95-96. His slider or whatever wasn't show stopping but to me or wasn't even necessary except to show. He could have thrown that FB all night.

That was in Rome.
