i would far rather people get their shots voluntarily and without drastic restrictions on activities of the unvaccinated...i see the number of shots is going up each week in hard hit areas...hopefully people come to their senses

None of the above for me. If I were emperor I'd give everyone who has been vaccinated a thousand bucks and not mess with who can go to the opera. I believe in the power of cold hard cash. If a thousand doesn't produce the results I want, I'd go to a higher number. But I do want the number of vaccinated to be high enough to achieve herd immunity. Whatever it takes.

Alternatively we can fine those who don't vaccinate. I once tried to explain to you that fining the unvaccinated and giving money to the vaccinated were equivalent in terms of how they affected the two groups. I'm glad you've caught on to the fact that inflation in this situation is the transmission mechanism for transferring purchasing power from the unvaccinated to the vaccinated. No free lunch. One group always has to pay if you are trying to reward another.
