If DeSantis were president I'm sure I would disagree with him on various things. But he is a sane, normal person who would do the best he could for the country. Can't say any of that about very poorly chosen one. DeSantis will do his share of pandering to the crazies. But that is not the same as actually being one of the crazies.
You just hate results on the field.
The Pravda will destroy Desantis like they do with any R candidate.
I give it 6 months until he is 'worse than Trump'.

But my point is no one remotely approaches the malign insane incompetence of your boy. He is suis generis. A unique threat to things like rule of law and norms likes respect for election results and the peaceful transition of power. Unique in other harmful ways as well, such as his tendency to disparage entire groups as "rapists" or "enemies of the people" or people from ****hole countries. Remember ****hole countries don't immigrate. People do. And they are people whether they come from Norway or a ****hole country. It still ought to rankle that our last president tried to racialize immigration policy to get more people from "Norway" and fewer from "****hole countries."

i'm just struggling to understand what it is exactly that i'm supposed to be so impressed by...he blew a hole in federal finances by cutting taxes for the rich and economic growth whether measured by job growth or GDP growth was about the same as in Obama's second term
I just welcome true economic growth and not fake job numbers propped up by part time 20 hour per week gig work.
Job growth/wages were real under Trump while we were just treading water under Obama. You seem to support the president that didn't move the needed for the non-managerial class. Its fitting with your MO of hurting the working man while you sit in an ivory tower enjoying the status quo.

Lets perform an exercise.
You have a job making 10 dollars a hour and you get a raise to 20. WOW - Thats a huge 100% growth.
Now lets say you have a job making 100 dollars a hour but you get a raise to 150. Damn - you suck. Just 50% growth.

I am in favor of policies that led to the largest increase in real wages for non-managerial workers. You treat those people like serfs of a feudal system here to prop you up.
And lets clarify on my preferred tax policies.
For companies that are American and hire American workers their tax rates would be dropped tremendously.
Any companies that source their labor and products (where alternatives are available in the Western Hemisphere) from communist dictatorships then those would get tax hikes.

Not sure how many business owners you know but 2019 was about as big of a year as it possibly gets for them. I wonder why a once in a century pandemic was all of a sudden leaked from a lab then.
Obama had the worst recovery on record. You know this but have to pretend that the Trump presidency was a disaster when in fact it was the best one we ahve seen in fifty years.
