Everyone seems to agree that Ozuna should be hung by his fingernails and doesn't deserve to live anymore, possibly firing squad, shouldn't have the privilege of playing baseball, and we certainly don't want him on our beloved Braves team.
Let me paint a different scenario.
His wife is bat**** crazy, came at him with a knife, and they were divorcing as a result of her infidelity. The permanent house is in Miami, where she lives and he's willing to give it to her along with generous support, whatever she needs. She shows up at the Atlanta house in a rage, attacks him increasingly and repeatedly. After trying to get her to leave or leaving himself, he finally lashes out right when the cops arrive and see what he's doing in retaliation. He's arrested, felony domestic violence stragulation, etc.
The DA investigates, reduces the charges against him to misdemeanors, he agrees to a million dollar fine to go to domestic abuse causes and agrees to a million hours of community service and a million hours of counseling. Receives a suspended one year sentence for each misdemeanor.
He gives the ex millions of dollars and they divorce. He doesn't have a hint of bad behavior in this or any other situation while the process is going on or after.
MLB suspends him for all of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 season without pay, costing him $16,000,000 in compensation. He publicly apologizes to the team, fans, ownership, leadership, MLB, everyone who was hurt by his actions. He agrees to teach domestic abuse classes to MLB players for the next 30 years.
When he's not doing community service, dealing with his lawyers or paying bills, he's in the gym or the cage, working out, is in the BSOML. He works on his outfield defense daily and rehabs his arm so he can throw 85 mph. He adopts an abandoned kitten and a puppy from the shelter.
NOW do you let him have a second chance as a player on the Braves?
