If this happened during Trump's watch it would be all his fault for being such a meanie and making all the libs and media in other countries feel sad. Since it is Biden it's all being blamed on the past admins.

Blaming it on past admins is the fairer of the two approaches. There was never a military objective, just a naive political dream of wanting the Afghans to adopt a system they've proven they don't want.

The thing Joe should be getting hammered for is that he should have known what there was to know about Afghanistan. He was VP for 8 years and not much had changed. He also made a diversity hire of an unqualified SecDef whose only redeeming quality was experience with Afghanistan. Yet we have 20,000 Americans basically surrounded by and at the mercy of the Taliban.

Incompetent is far too kind of a word. This wouldn't be any worse if we had let Xi and Putin call the shots. It's imbecilic.
