See, sometimes it helps to have a faceless owner rather than one being too involved...

With the Mets' season in danger of slipping away, owner Steve Cohen was brutally honest while tweeting on Wednesday morning.

"It’s hard to understand how professional hitters can be this unproductive," Cohen tweeted. "The best teams have a more disciplined approach. The slugging and OPS numbers don’t lie."

Im sure the players will be motivated and will do much better now that an old an billionaire has called them out on Twitter.

Cohen is as dumb as the Wilson’s but with a bigger mouth and ego. It’s going to be fun watching him totally screw up the Mets.

Hopefully he spends stupid money signing Baez this winter.

I'll be honest, if I was a multi-billionaire MLB owner, I would absolutely be tweeting and posting the entire time. Like, during games. "Oh, nice at-bat, Ozzie. First pitch pop-up to second. How original."

That's what it probably would have looked like if Twitter had been around when Ted Turner owned the Braves before they were good. Probably something like "Great job Moreno swinging at ball four. Now tell your wife to put away that effin' whistle."

Heck, i think the majority of that tweet was ABOUT Baez.

Really hate to go here, but somebody's gotta say it...

What's really sad is that Cohen will get absolutely roasted for a while (not only by Mutts fans, but nationally) over talking about things he can't possibly understand and certainly was never talented enough to actually DO, yet there's a huge chunk of Americans that think another certain New York billionaire who knows almost as much about almost as many things and constantly adds his completely uninformed opinion to much more important conversations needs to be the leader of the "free" world.

(Sorry, but there's more than one New York-based billionaire that's an absolute dumb*ss - Cohen doesn't own the patent.)

Going to Colorado in a few weeks is a really underrated part of the schedule when considering the difficulty of it. The Rockies have been nearly historically good at home this year.

Absolutely. You want to win every series but I feel like not getting swept would be an acceptable outcome.

He isn’t going to displace Alonso. I have fears some team is going to outbid us in Freddie, but I doubt the Mets would be that team.

I think we'll come to terms with Freddie, it wont be cheap though. Hopefully both sides can figure out something that works for each other.

I didn’t realize that Baltimore has lost 15 in a row. Ouch.

Would yall be mad if we "only" won 2/3 this weekend vs them. They're bad but baseball is a weird game sometimes. We are due a loss. It looks like Fried, Smyly, and TBD on pitchers this weekend for the Braves right now.
