The Coronavirus, not the beer

I can't remember which political party leads Oregon but I do find it. Interesting there has been near zero mention of their struggles as compared to RON Desantis.

This is obviously desantis fault.

Hey maybe the media framing of it is bad right runnin?

At some point people will need to understand that leaders will never give up this control.

Vaccine or not... The goal post will be moved and your liberty will be taken. The time to resist is long overdue

And you had reasonable people encouraging everyone to get vaccinated without any real long term studies.

Amazing how the media controls people.

Kind of weird of y'all to invite a comparison between Oregon and Florida

Hospitalizations per 100,000: Florida 75 Oregon 29

Deaths in the past week: Florida 1,727 Oregon 101

Florida has 5 times the population of Oregon but 17 times the number of deaths.

Lol at that deaths figure as if you didn’t know it was over a much longer span.

Keep on spreading your deza nsacpi. Useful idiot of big pharma

It’s a scam. Herd immunity while protecting at risk was always the way.

All people who are pushing these vaccinations are making massive mistakes.

At least the people pushing it so hard on this board have an amazing track record of great judgement

Normal course of business for you to not understand simple data.

You can spread your wisdom if you wish.

I think by now we all understand that each state reports its data in a different way. We can only work with the data that we have. Florida reported 1,727 deaths last week. Oregon reported 101.

Florida has 5 times the population of Oregon but reported 17 times the number of deaths. So on a proportional basis over 3 times as many deaths. Not entirely coincidentally it also has almost 3 times the number of people hospitalized on a per capital basis.

Whether you go by recent deaths or # hospitalized, things are currently about 3 times as bad in Florida as in Oregon.

I don't blame this on whether the governor has an (R) or a (D) next to his name. Not entirely anyhow. Florida has a huge number of tourists spreading germs (although now they are taking whatever they picked up in Florida back to their home states). And this time of the year the air conditioners are running full blast and people are congregating indoors.
