Confederate Monuments

Removing Confederate statues from states outside of the old Confederacy is a no brainer. There's a reasonable argument to be made for removing those in Confederate states from the Civil Rights era.

Removing the statue of the most prominent Virginian Confederate from the city that was capital of the Confederacy and is still capital of Virginia? Give me a break. Do these people line their panties with bubble wrap before they get out of the back seat of Mommy's car every morning?

I don’t really care where they are, I think monuments to traitors who left the Union to uphold slavery should be taken down everywhere. We have museums and textbooks for historical preservation, we don’t need celebrations.

I'm trying to imagine the media coverage had that been a person wearing a red hat on the gorilla mask throwing an egg at Obama.

I don't think there would be enough hours available on the airways for the pundits to scream racism and domestic terrorism

This is an incredibly ignorant and small minded take. Please research the percentage of Confederate soldiers who owned slaves. Please research tariff and taxation laws prior to 1861.

Most of all, please pick better, smarter, and more honest sources of information.
