Is everyone vaccinated here?

I don't agree with the vaccine skeptics, but given our government's history I can certainly understand it. So I have a hard time justifying anything punitive.

Yeah. But under the current status quo the rest of us are being stuck with the bill for the choices being made by the vaccine hesitant.

We're always stuck with the bill for lawmakers giving themselves and their buddies kickbacks. We're stuck with the bill for terrible foreign policy choices. We're stuck with the bill for irresponsible pregnancies, illegal border crossings, employers that don't provide reasonable compensation, inflationary monetary policy, beach side property wrecked by hurricanes, and a thousand other things that rarely get mentioned.

It feels like the biggest difference here is the demographics of the people involved.

From where I sit it looks like the doctrine of personal responsibility is something that many around here espouse. But rather selectively.

They want children to take responsibility for overcoming the circumstances of their birth, but don't want grown-ass adults to pick up the tab on the choices they make.

If we’re going to change the status quo so we roll back how socialized our health care is in this country, I’m all ears.

we do plenty of policy geared at choices with negative externalities

smokers of america say hello

did you know alcoholics arent given a spot on the registry for liver transplants

why not hold the vaccine hesitant to a similar standard we hold alcoholics in this regard...last in line for ventilators or a place in the icu

personal responsibility can be a harsh mistress

So you assume all are uninsured?

No. The United States of America is effectively one big insurance pool. No one is being denied a spot in an ICU because they lack insurance.

But lots of Americans ARE being asked to delay things like cancer surgery because of irresponsible people who could take a simple step to avoid being hospitalized.

I know someone with a defective pacemaker who has been waiting weeks to have it taken care of because the hospitals near where he lives are being slammed by largely unvaccinated covid patients. The doctrine of personal responsibility should have those unvaccinated folks be last in line just like alcoholics are last in line for a new liver (effectively none of them get one).

"Build your own hospital"

Weren't Elon and Ford building ventilators? Why don't we stop elective abortions and use the space in those facilities for ventilator patients? I'm surprised that no one on the mandate bandwagon has suggested that.

Pretty sure the left would pull the nurses from nurseries if they were needed at the abortion clinic.

I am not vaccinated. Dont plan to either. As far as the federal government is concerned I am a criminal who needs to be locked up for societies safety. I am not going to go out and hurt people but I also am not going to take any steps to help protect others. Remember, I am a dangerous criminal..... according to the gubment. This is the only form of protest I have against society.

Well that’s…something

Ah, another retard who doesnt read my posts and just sums it up using whatever strawman he wants to argue against. Your about as accurate as saying little thethe is an Obama supporter.

You made my point for me though, I would rather be unvaccinated so hopefully more people like krgcrew die off.
