I'm surprised no one has picked up on the fact that credibly accused creepy joe has agreed to share advanced nuclear technology with an authoritarian proto-fascist regime such as the one currently oppressing the unfree Australian people. It is like helping the ccp build the reeducation camps for the uyghurs if you ask me. How can we be sure the nuclear submarines won't be turned on the brave pro-covid dissidents of Australia. This is dangerous and dangerously naive of credibly accused creepy joe.

The offer has been for years, but Aussies are incredibly anti-nuclear. We haven't even been allowed to make port visits with nuclear powered ships or subs. For some reason that aversion has been cast aside, which I find both a positive step and frightening.

But only recently have the Aussies made a hard turn toward authoritanism...shouldn't the offer have been withdrawn when that happened...why are we sharing advanced technology with a proto-fascist regime that is oppressing its people...it is akin to helping china to build the uighur re-education camps

Okay, let me explain what we both know you already know. We gave advanced weapons to Afghanis to fight the USSR. It wasn't because we liked them. Similarly, even if Australia was close to the same level of authoritarianism that China is at, they would be far less of a threat and therefore useful as a thorn in China's side.

That's not even touching on the fact that the current US regime wholeheartedly approves of cracking down on those who don't toe the party line, making them, like you, sympathetic to Australia's new police state.

And don't throw "diversion" around at thethe or I when you've basically become a parody troll.

China doesn't shoot puppies (although in some parts of China they still eat them) and rough up old people sitting quietly on a park bench. Just sayin.

I know Lebanon is a ****hole country. Nevertheless, congratulations to Ardem Patapoutian (born 1967 in Beirut, Lebanon) on winning the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He came to this country in 1986 when Lebanon was in the midst of a Civil War and various hostage taking crises, and has made some solid contributions to society. I bet he is even vaccinated.
