The Coronavirus, not the beer

Would you then support sending all migrants back to their home country if they refuse vaccination?

it is a sensible thing to do

generally i want to see our laws on immigration enforced in a way consistent with our values...assuming it is legal for us to summarily send anyone who refuses to be vaccinated back to their home country we should...i have a suspicion sending someone who is here legally back for that reason would run afoul of our laws...but i leave that to the courts and legal eagles

How would it not be legal?

These people are economic migrants. They aren't true asylum seekers.

We have a legal right to send every single one home and deport those that are living in America.

Morally is the only sphere where an argument can be made otherwise.

Apparently we can make anything we want legal.

The CDC made it illigal for homeowners to decide who can live in their homes. A couple governors made it illigal to patron businesses unless they took Phizer product. Biden made it illegal to. Work at an employer of 100+ without support Phizer.

There is no law anymore... Only a king

This is completely fair.

Make the case where it wouldn't be legal.

i think once someone is in INS custody there is a legal process that has to be followed...i am expressing some doubt about whether that legal process allows them to summarily deport someone on grounds of vaccine hesitancy...it might be legal it might not be...i don't know

You don't need vaccine hesitancy.

They are illegal aliens in our country.

That is the only legal basis you need to deport.

I believe the Supreme Court has invalidated the CDC's eviction moratorium. Maybe the wheels of justice grind slowly, but grind slowly they do.

If the President can fire private employer US citizens bc of vaccine hesitancy, how on earth do you think he can't deport illegal aliens for the same reason?

It's about public health, right?

We have a laws that govern what we can and can't do with an illegal alien. Surely you are aware of that.

We do not have one law on the books that says economic migrants are legally allowed to stay in the country on more than a temporary basis.

Different sections of the legal code apply to the two situations. Just sayin. All I'm arguing is that it might not be legal to summarily deport someone on grounds of vaccine hesitancy. Might be legal might not be. If it is legal, it is something I would be in favor of.

Economic migrants are not eligible to stay here legally. I think we are in agreement on that.
