Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Florida 19th in covid vaccinations per capita, ahead of seven (D) states from the ‘20 election: Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan and Georgia.

There is an interesting question to be asked about Florida's vaccination rate. As far as I know no one has published age-adjusted data. This is almost surely a reflection of Florida having an old population.

weird, seems like similar to this crime:

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are looking for the person responsible for the robbery of an area department store earlier this month.

The incident occurred Tuesday, Sept. 14 around 1:45 p.m. at a Macy’s Department Store inside Ingram Park Mall.

According to police, the man (seen above) walked into the store and stole items just before threatening an employee. He fled the location on foot, police said.

Bexar County did give credibly accused creepy joe a 140,000 vote margin, almost double what it gave Hillary just four years earlier.

It is a once competitive area that is turning blue very fast.

There is a fair amount of crime in small town and rural red America (with a notable upward trend fueled by among other things the opioid epidemic). But the technology for capturing it on video and sharing on social media has yet to make it to the hinterland.

I didn't think Bexar County was a good fit for you. But there are lots of places in east and west Texas that you would probably like more.

At least the people are nice down here. I've had a handful of interactions in public about my not wearing a mask, and they were always friendly and constructive, rather than combative

Yeah, Texans are friendly. I've always enjoyed my admittedly brief visits to Texas.

where are the great comics from...they are mostly blue state dudes and dudettes...although missouri has a surprisingly strong showing on this list

it would be nice if our red state friends started pulling their weight in the humor department

we give them life-saving pills and vaccines...the least they could do is give us some good jokes (of the non-inadvertent variety)

To be sure there are various factors that give blue states a natural advantage in this field. One is the larger Jewish population in blue states. That alone will tilt the list of great comics heavily toward the blue states. Maybe we should control for this by looking just at goy comics.
