The Biden Presidency

Hmmm...Did something happen in 2020 that required the government ring up loads of debt? I wonder.

2019 was a blowout year and I could easily make the argument that 2020 without the CCP virus would have allowed the US to start balancing a bit more of their books.

federal deficit

2016 $585 billion
2017 $665 billion
2018 $779 billion
2019 $984 billion
The biggest bump there was the TCJA. It’s a trend with the Republicans. There is a tax cut followed by a war or emergency and then they talk about deficit while ignoring the origins of it.

Wait, wait, wait. Do those 47% and 38% figures for giving credit to congress and Biden stack? If not, who the **** do they think did it, Santa Claus?

Edited to add: This is not me saying people should support the payments, but I’m curious of the framing of that particular question.

Who do you feel is responsible for the expanded child tax credit payments being made possible? Select all that apply

What may end up being the best thing out of the 4 years of Trump was the incompetent deep state to show their faces and then prove how little they know when they took power.

Hope there is someone ready on the right to take the mantle and do a better job cleaning house than Trump did.
