BTW I support parents getting the tax credit monthly instead of 1 lump sum at tax time. I hope it continues.

I thought they were only paying out the increase and the previous credit amount will still be applicable when taxes are paid?

Including the increase they are paying out half of the total amount since the payments started in July. The other half will still be applied to your taxes. Now whether they increased it enough so that what you would be getting back next spring is comparable to what you would have gotten back in previous years I don't know. That very well may be the case.

Whether they keep the increase or not is another matter. But I do prefer the monthly payment idea vs lump sum in this situation.

I'm not. I don't let politics get me upset... I get mad about 3 hours a day during the summer and on weekends in the fall (braves and state/saints), lol
