GDT 10/11/21: Braves vs Brewers - NLDS Game 3

Matzek is dominant, and should be the guy used in the inning the opposing manager is unwinding his platoon advantages.

Now the Braves are set up to have Luke face Wong and possibly Yelich, while Smith will face a string of RHHs. All because snit is a dinosaur who manages a BP like it’s 1994, and can’t see that Smith should be facing Wong and Yelich in the 8th.

Luckily they have a 3 run lead.

Snit is a dinosaur like you're saying but don't you think AA needs to shoulder some of this blame? Is he not going through strategy scenarios with Snit?

I don’t think the FO meddles like this.

What we have seen is Snit make a series of poor decisions, and then it’s almost like they have a big meeting where he corrects course on 2-3 things all at once. But the correction only lasts a week or so before he slips off track again.

If I were in charge, every single game would be scripted based on the 10-15 most likely scenarios. I’m not sure if any teams do that, or if guys like Counsell and Roberts are just very smart guys and do it on their own.

I find it funny that Snit defenders blame AA for not micromanaging more.

Not sure if I should be considered a 'Snit Defender".

I'm just trying to be realistic. I don't see him getting fired since the team has played well and seems to like him.

I think AA should be 'coaching' the whole organization and if people are not learning then its grounds for dismissal.

Snit just needs a tactical advisor that sits next to him and gives info. Snit can still be manager. Team seems to really like him. Win Win

Luke on to face L L R and possibly L. Terrible strategy by Snit. Inexcusably bad.

Smith or Minter needs to be ready to face Yelich if Luke gets into trouble.

Its supposedly to be Walt Weiss.

But Walt Weiss during his time as Rockies manager was very very very openly against analytics.

And now Yelich batting vs a RHP as the tying run.

This is all on snit. It’s very hard to win with the manager actively sabotaging things.

Then boom, double play.

Counsell has completely out managed snit and is down by 3.

Gotta love baseball!!

They don't show outmanaging on the scoreboard!
