Counsell has managed his team into a position where they have the platoon advantage for the entirety of the 9th due to Snit’s predictability of using Smith.

Time for those horseshoes to keep doing their job so the checkers player beats the chess player.

Agree. The puzzler to me (and there may be good reasons for it) is that Rodriguez was obtained to give the bullpen some flexibility in the late innings. Whether it's been physical, psychological, flat-out ineffectiveness (which he clearly was down the stretch), or the absence of Spider Tack, Rodriguez not coming in as advertised and being able to contribute in the post-season has made everything very predictable. I get what you're saying, but without another RHP bullpen option, this is how it's going to unfold.

At some point a third RH reliever or lack thereof will come into play. But probably not against the Brewers since they are LH dominant in terms of hitting. Ynoa might be the key to the puzzle.
