Truist Park

I've been to quite a few games there in the regular season, and it's taken me a few years, but watching Truist's energy during the LCS and now World Series, it finally feels and looks like home. I was very fond of Turner Field. And even though we've been at Truist for 5 years now, sometimes on TV it still looks out of place.

But I have to say that on national TV under the lights, the stadium looks gorgeous and it looks like ours rather than us looking out of place playing there. And the visuals of the Battery going nuts being that it's literally right on the other side of the outfield terrace, man what an atmosphere they've created. The ballpark also doesn't look like a bland generic park like the Rangers' new stadium, it actually has a signature identity to it.

The crowds have been deafening loud as well! Basically willing this team to win. Come on Braves ONE MORE GAME PLEASE!!!

I think the years of disappointment and choking and frustration have just been building up. We saw that in 2012 Wild Card Infield Fly call. And Atlanta fans for years have received bad comments about our fandom and how we're fair weather. And also during the Turner Field years we had other teams' fans showing up in big numbers during playoffs.

So I think now this is the next-gen of Braves fans that has learned not to take the playoffs and winning for granted but never had a chance to go to LCS or WS games because it's been so damn long.

I mean Turner was a cool story, but it wasn't a baseball stadium. Truist isn't quite what I'd want if I was having a perfect dream, but it's the right stadium for the area and fanbase. The important thing is that it's a baseball stadium, not a GP stadium. It makes for a much more intimate stadium where the fans get a better experience as well.

Truist was phenomenal tonight...Savage energy late in the game. My section was popping....the stadium and all that it offers honestly does feel like a HOME place to play. Of course I like worse stadiums so what do I know.

I’ve never been to a crazier baseball atmosphere than LCS game 6 at Truist… can’t even imagine how loud the WS has been in person.

Like Cy said...it was deafening at times. Really represented. You know you're the best when Karate Kid (Ralph Macchio) shows up and says go Braves!

But what is your perfect dream?

Not sure I can describe what it sounded and felt like when Duvall hit his slam last night - actually not even sure Shakespeare could have done it justice.

Incredibly satisfying to hear Harold Reynolds gush over what the last three nights there have been like - can't imagine any particular free-agent AA plans to go after this winter (or maybe even next), but this weekend absolutely had to impress anyone paying attention and simply HAS TO make Atlanta much more attractive to any who wind up looking for things that separate similar offers.

Plus, how cool is it that the Fox team for pre-game has been set up in the Battery, and behind them has been thousands of excited fans. You won't get an experience like that at just about any other stadium.

You mean here???

The Battery alone is such a sick thing. i love Citizens Bank Park but The Battery makes Truist blow it out of the water. love taking trips down and going to games there.

Did you guys see how many folks were out last night at the sterile mall.. must have been one heck of a Christmas sale or something.
