Thats not really how to use dWAR. Freddie is an above average 1B by the metrics, but that comes out to -8.0 dWAR due to position adjustments. It doesn’t mean he’s “below replacement level on D,” it’s just a tool to compare defensive value across positions. Replacement level on D is also set at league average for dWAR (because you can find freely available average defensive players who can hit at replacement level). A replacement level SS is gonna have like .7-1.0 dWAR per season. A replacement level 1B is gonna have like -0.8 dWAR. Dansby being at +.3 indicates he gave back basically half a run on D. Freddie being at -0.7 meaning he was slightly better than average.
So being at 0 dWAR as a shortstop means you gave back all the positional value of being a shortstop through shoddy D. Blauser being at basically 0 dWAR over 11 seasons vs. Dansby being at ~4 over six seasons is a significant difference.

Dansby is very Jeter like at SS. Consistent and makes routine plays look flashy which earns him a lot of praise on a broadcast, but probably not a huge difference maker. (Well to be fair to Dansby, Jeter had the range of a fire hydrant at SS. Bae can steal a hit here and there).

If you are using the same metric to look at two players that play the same position, the positional preference you are concerned about should drop out. Blauser had a 5 of 6 season run where his defense using the dWAR metric was on par with Dansby's defense. If they are both below average for shortstops, it doesn't alter the similarity of the metric's view of their defense.

Used to be the players voted on who and how much dependent on their perceived contributions. Dont know about now for sure but people like club house attendants, batboys, etc got a share.

The Nationals voted to award 61 full shares, which amounted to $382,358.18 each. They also issued 14.13 partial shares. The Astros awarded 57 full shares, which amounted to $256,030.16 each, and issued 13.58 partial shares.

So the first vote is to determine how many full shares they are giving out. I'm assuming this is for the guys who actually played plus injured players (like Acuna) or guys who were traded (probably Pablo) at some point. Then they also vote to see how many shares they will give out to other club personnel.
Just an unbelievable feeling and long overdue. Just an amazing team effort. So many key contributors.
Big props to Will Smith for truly harnessing it on the biggest stage. He was absolutely lights out all playoffs. Of course Matzek, just unreal how dominant he was.
Across the offense almost everyone coming up with a big hit at some point. Its truly a great day to be a Braves fan. World Series Champs and a dynamic core. We should be significantly better next year!!
As someone that is 30 years old, 1995 really has no meaning other than being thankful we didn't have the stigma of having never won. A thousand other thoughts but just keeping the good vibes going.
