For the life of me, why posters here (mainly leftists if I'm being honest) refuse to acknowledge a wrong position. It is an anonymous social media outlet...who cares? Why are they so hung up on dodging the truth on a subject after more information has come about? I have no issue condemning the positions of people I actually voted for, or movements that I'm generally with but these guys would rather just change the definition or the narrative instead. I could care less what others here think of me in general and when I shut this thing down... I don't think twice about it. Are their images too tied up in it?

Are internet points that sacred?

I teach my kids all the time to own up to things we have gotten wrong.

It's a dopamine hit. "Likes" and being validated by like-minded individuals in their own bubble are what some people live off of. Especially younger people. But social media platforms were designed to do this so I can't blame the public too much for this. Like anything else it's easy to get addicted to it.

They’re a bunch of pussies. We fought the king for our freedom, beat him and earned our freedom. Canada and Australia sat back and begged for thier freedom for centuries. They didn’t battle England to be free. They’ve never truly been free. That’s why thier citizens sit back and dont defend themselves from thier government.

Yes the Americans fought the British for freedom but comparing America to Australia or Canada is a gross failure of American, Australian and Canadian history.

First consider what Australia is, it was a penal colony established after the American Revolution. So somewhere around 1790 it comes into existence. If we apply American logic of first british colony to revolution in America, about 160 years. Australia was a self determined country in 1900something. Canada kind of a similar thing. Canada as we know it basically started 1763, many loyalists to the Crown in the USA moved to Canada during and after the revolution, so you're injecting more Canadian loyalty to the crown.

What a ****ing moron. The fact that America fought for its independence and set up a set of laws to protect us from a tyrannical government while others didn’t, is 100% the difference between the overreach happening in those countries and not ours.
