LOL. That's fine, pile on now.

Cal took Kentucky from rock bottom to elite in about 15 seconds. Elite 8, FF, and National Championship in 4 seasons. Yes, he has absolutely sucked this year, but some of these players were overrated and they just don't know how to play basketball. If they were to stick around another year or two, they'd be elite.. but most of them won't.

Oh well. This year has been disappointing, as was last year. But I'd still take Kentucky's past 5 years (pending the outcome of this season) over just about anyone else's.

Isn't it the coaches job to turn the raw HS prospects into something more? Teach them how to play the right way, grow, etc, etc?

lol he's had two bad years and 3 amazing ones before that with freshmen-led teams.

Also he still beat you this year, and is 5-1 against Rick. Try again

UNC hit the jackpot with Paige. That guy is a monster. Was supposed to be a solid pass-first PG out of high school, and he's pretty much the best 2G in college right now.'

Take him off that team, and they are really rough. But he's good enough to carry them most nights.

He's a PG.

Im anxious to see what happens with Berry coming in next year.

Dont really have a natural SG on the roster, so they could play a lot of Berry/Paige lineups like Louisville did last year with Russ and Siva. Unless he went pro.

McAdoo was the 8th ranked recruit in the country coming in, right? I really laughed at Roy getting more out of him.

Who cares where he was ranked? Neil Fingleton was a McDonalds All American as well. Have you watched him play? What makes him so great? He's not a good shooter, doesn't have any post moves to speak of. He's semi productive because Roy has him playing with a lot of intensity. The NBA will abuse him, he will not last long at the next level. He'll be a role player for a few years and then be out of the league. His freshman year he had some stretches of good play but the more he played the more he was exposed. He's athletic but that's about it. He's not as good as people think he is.

He was high ranked by NBA scouts and college recruiters for a reason.

His entire "coaching" system is premised around players not sticking around another year or two.

Louisville doesn't have close to Kentuckys talent level, especially this year...I would hope Cal would win.

He was high ranked by NBA scouts and college recruiters for a reason.

What's the reason? Please explain what makes him such a great player? What skills does he possess? All you keep doing is keep posting how highly ranked he was coming out of High School. Don't you realize not every highly ranked player goes on to be a great player?

Solid jumper, good defender, good rebounder, he's a good player.

Maybe not a top 5 pick, franchise-altering player but JMM will be good in the pros.

Here are some reports about him:

He understands the games nuances and takes advantage of positioning and angles to make it look easy. He is an effort guy that disregards his high-profile reputation and just goes to work when the game begins.

He is also an active rebounder that gets to ball outside of his area and excellent shot-blocker and erases teammate's defensive errors.

Although he is rapidly improving his skills away from the basket, he is still a work in progress on the perimeter. He needs to develop more confidence in his ball handling and passing abilities when pressured away from the basket by a smaller/quicker defender.

In the post, McAdoo shows nimble footwork and an array of hook shots, step-throughs and turnaround jumpers, but he still needs to work on becoming a better (and more willing) finisher through contact. He rarely forces the issue and shows a high basketball IQ, which is particularly evident in his ability to find open teammates.

Has he improved under Roy or not?

I'd say Donovan is at Florida for life. What incentive is there to leave? He's already turned the NBA and Kentucky down.

LOL at Dook.

I know they'll beat UNC on Saturday but lose to Wake fully rested in MARCH?

Just not a good team, really all there is to it. 82 points to Wake is terrible. Anything higher than a 3 seed is too high.

luckily for duke, everyone is terrible this year - with the possible exception of florida, who plays in the sec, so they might also be terrible.
