117th Congress

Sure we can. But I don't care about your fake outrage while they don't address the things that actually matter.

Now we can have another kabuki theater censure hearing though! Will. Be great for fundraising

By the way, thethe is right. Omar cries about racists and white supremacists every day and faces. O backlash. Then she gets mad about an inappropriate joke.

Spare me

does she ?

your days as a person of color and that day to day experience informs you
what level of " inappropriate joke " is intolerable and when it crosses the "spare me" line

and just where is that "spare me line "

Omar is not to speak (cry??) of the difficulties her constituents face every day ?
She is just supposed to play along with the racist taunts and blatant bigotry that accompanies her name and headwear.
a sort of 21st century Step 'n Fetchit

Gosar was joking too, right ?

are we seeing a pattern here

Oh, I wonder why she would think this as colleagues joke about her being a terrorist because of her religion.

I have yet to see Gosar attack Biden with swords. I think its safe to say it was a joke.

Pelosi just bought a $25M mansion in Florida. 2 questions:

1. I make more than Pelosi and could never afford a mansion like that... how does she do it?

2. Isn't Florida a death cult with too low of taxes for this lady?

Guy who cried about fake news when a detail of a story is viewed wrong in his eyes

Comes and spread 100% fake news

You know, just another day for fraud boy

Has anyone mentioned that although we no longer have troops in Afghanistan, we do, by the Biden administration's admission, still have thousands of civilians stranded there? It seems they weren't able to outrace the Taliban when they chased our military to the airport.

We are currently celebrating bidens lack of murdering children last week. One baby step at a time

So, no Americans can be there now? I’m trying to figure out the issue

Are these civilians trying to leave and not being allowed to leave? Is that your concern?

It’s amazing that some people are that uninformed.

Im amazed people assumed there weren't people still stuck there. I hadn't read this, but from how badly it went and how many were there...I figured we hadn't gotten most of them out.

This is the appropriate response to Omars fake outrage.

Until GOP leadership fights like this Trump will be the head of the Republican party.

That literally didn’t answer the questions I asked

Also, do we have a more recent article to answer it? Cause a near month old article isn’t that helpful for that topic at hand

From the article:

State Department: Thousands of U.S. Residents Still Stuck in Afghanistan
...
the agency faces increasing scrutiny from Congress about the status of U.S. citizens and green card holders that are still stranded in the Taliban-controlled country.
...
The new number sheds light on the extent to which the United States’ chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan left U.S. citizens, residents, and important Afghan allies in the lurch as a lightning-fast Taliban offensive swept across the country.
...
The State Department did not clarify the numbers of legal permanent residents who wanted to leave, the congressional aide said.
...
“These girls and mothers and families, they’re all in safe houses outside Mazar-i-Sharif, and they can’t get out of the country,” McCaul said. “There are many of them. The only response I’ve gotten is that this is under State Department review.”

The struggle to extract Americans, green card holders, and those who qualify for special immigrant visas has gotten more difficult with the Taliban reasserting power and a humanitarian crisis looming for millions of displaced Afghans.

These are not terms and phrases used when referring to people who are happy about where they are.

Oddly, there doesn't seem to be much reporting about this since the article I linked. Weird, huh?
