Additional data from Pfizer's clinical trial of its oral Covid-19 antiviral drug confirm the treatment's high level of effectiveness, the company said in a news release Tuesday.

In the final analysis of its Phase 2/3 clinical trial, the antiviral, called Paxlovid, was found to be 89 percent effective at preventing high-risk people from being hospitalized or dying from Covid, the company said.

The findings are consistent with the results of the interim analysis the company released last month, although the full data have not been made public for scientists to review. Pfizer halted its clinical trial based on the interim results and submitted an application to the Food and Drug Administration for emergency use authorization several weeks later.

The FDA has not scheduled a meeting of its advisory committee to review the application.

I'm not sure why a lot of athletes felt the need to cave on the vaccine deal, but I guess I got duped too so not much room to talk. I don't make my living with my bodys performance... At least not yet anyway.

Finally got the vaccine, and COVID followed shortly after. Same thing happened to me
 
Even the last intelligent vaccine defender is starting to see the writing on the wall.

It’s only going to get worse over time.

The point is all immunity wanes. And at no point does it say it's better to be unvaccinated than vaccinated. It simply states that recovered gives great protection, but vaccines can protect you whether recovered or not. They may not on their own offer superior protection than natural immunity. But considering a possible side effect of attempting to achieve that is death, I think it's a wise choice for anyone who can get vaccinated to get vaccinated. What you're essentially arguing for is like saying catching some disease that gives you infertility is more effective than wearing a condom, do why bother to wear a condom.

It also says quite clearly in the tweet that what's not discussed is severity.

That is an individual choice.

Spread is what matters and why things are being legislated by the King Democrats.

You tweet a tweet citing recovered. Severity of disease plays a very healthy part in recovering from it. If you die, you're not gonna be recovered.
