REAL FOOTBALL Thread

The taunting was weak and saying he was giving himself up was a bit much as well. He was diving head first into the end zone. He even took a hit doing so (which might have been a late hit if he was giving himself up).

Yeah. It was a weak call on both parts, but I really don't care. Losing was more important. Unfortunately a bit little a bit late.

Seems like they'll wind up locked out of the top 10. Need the Browns to win and Vikings to pull a shocking upset.

How very Falcons to lose enough to be irrelevant but to win enough to screw up their draft spot. I have a feeling they'll be stuck in this spot for a bit.

Story I've heard on Brown was that the staff told him they wanted him to go in the game and he felt he wasn't healthy enough to play. The staff then basically said if you can't play then you shouldn't be here and it exploded from there. I get the feeling that there has been some simmering hostility here.

It's beyond frustrating, but like you said this is kind of a mediocre QB year, but I like some things if the draft falls this way. Corral plays well as a 10-12 pick. As does Pickett. Not studs by any stretch but good QB prospects. But also for second round I like Strong a whole lot. And of course I like the raw potential of Willis. And I wouldn't mind trading Ryan and getting a vet to teach Willis or Strong.

Corral is interesting. The QB class is so thin he could be off the board by 11 or 12 but if he's there I'd be tempted. He was pretty incredible this year before the injury bug bit.

Just thought it was worth pointing out that Derrick Henry is currently 6th in rushing yards despite not having played a down since Halloween.

Will be interesting to see there's still stuff to play for in week 18.

Lions upsetting the Packers will be great for the Saints. If the Packers win then the Rams may elect to bench most of their starters as I don't think they care who they get between the Niners, Cardinals, Cowboys and Eagles. Basically the question is homefield more important than resting. I would say yes, but who knows.

If (and given it's Brown, it's a massive one) this is true, Ariens needs to be fired.

Jf Brown has those texts Arians is done. The NFL will have to fire him as sacrifice to the NFLPA.

Even if true thats a nothing. Coaches try to get players to play through injuries all the time. The NFL even promoted who helped to try and cover up CTE to commissioner. If AB just sat on the bench and waited to talk things out when not in the heat of battle they probably work things out. His tempter tantrum just made it all worse. Doesnt sound like AB would be playing again this year even he was on good terms with the team so its all a moot point.

Packers already clinched the 1 seed and have the tiebreaker over the Rams. They hold the tiebreaker over the Bucs and may play to get the 2 seed so that possible matchup is in LA and not Tampa in the divisional round if both teams won.

Fair enough. For some reason I thought there was some 3 way tie shenanigans that the Rams could utilize. But either way. I don't expect the packers to lose to the Lions even if they bench everyone.
