The Biden Presidency

I like just about everything I’ve seen from DeSantis. I have no issues there.

We haven't seen him make any foreign policy decisions. This is how our empire has fallen so much.

I love what he has said on the border though.

I just don't get why people want to mess with success so much. Yes, he messed up a lot of things about the pandemic but since we have seen a globally coordinated response in such a tyrannical way do we think he even had power to change that?

And I would think a re-election for Gov would be a lot different but if not for Trump Desantis wouldn't even be in the public consciousness.

Wild to me that you guys would want the most successful president of your lifetimes to go away.

The reasons you want him out is because the left blew everything out of proportion to cut the populist revolution down.

Take your chances with a potential neocon in Desantis or another politician thats been in the system for a while? Good luck...

He ultimately turtled on the tough decisions.

He didn't fire Fauci.

He didn't did pardon Assange or Snowden.

He didn't cut spending

He did a lot of things well... but he didn't do enough.

To make a football analogy, Trump was the fullback. Great to blow through the hole and clear out the linebacker, maybe get a few yards in a short yardage situation, but not the guy to break a long run. You need a tailback with more speed and better moves for that. The hole is open, the linebacker is still trying to fight through the fullbacks block, it's time to hand the ball to someone quicker mentally and able to outmaneuver the other side.

Trump wouldn't be able to accomplish anything without a filibuster proof Senate, and he won't have that. If he actually cares about the political outcomes he'll see that and stick to beating on the establishment from the sidelines while passing the torch.

He significantly reduced taxes.

Wage adjusted earnings skyrocketed for non-supervisory workers.

If not for the CCP unleashing a virus on the world 2020 was looking to be the best year in a century and there were no plans to increase spending so ultimately he is being punished because a once in a generation pandemic was used as a weapon and all restrictions seemed to be telegraphed globally.

Trump completely blew the whole game up. Politicians on the right have balls now because of him.

He did break the big run but the referees called it back on a completely bogus penalty that everyone knows was a lie.

We actually know quite a bit about his foreign policy views though

And when we say he didn't do enough well - In comparison to which other president?

This was the most successful president of the last forty years and faced unprecedented resistance in the form of a 4 year long coup. You all know that is a massive factor.

Now that the media effectively has zero power what could the man do with another four years?

Nobody is saying he did bad... just saying he's not the guy to get us where we need. He is too ego driven... he is not that intelligent. And all Pelosi needs to do get her way is to kiss his ass and he will fold.

He showed what is possible with a competent person at the helm. Let's get that person going

Just because of the Supreme Court nominations he's done more good for the country than any other president since Ronnie won the Cold War. He also brought a focus to workers that hasn't existed in American politics since Nancy took over the Democrat party.

He set the GOP on a more NatPop course, that's what is so great about him and also the reason I would prefer someone else now. Guys like Hawley, Cotton, and Desantis are on the same track and better able to get more accomplished in my opinion. They're just better politicians, better at speaking without constantly pissing off half the country, have better contacts and staffs. That's where Trump's biggest weakness was, he just didn't have enough people he could trust around him and ended up getting bad advice on some of his picks. That's one of the downsides of being an outsider that doesn't really have the support of the party, your rolodex is thin.

You can either pin a lot of these failures on Trumps ego (fair) or the fact that he faced an unprecedented enemy within trying to destroy the nation.

I know what side I'm on and I know which fighter I want in the room. The one that was saying it for decades before mostly anyone else.

Biden regime is partners with the CCP and Mexican drug cartel.

Never forget the people that supported this.

I'm curious if mqt, who I know is anti war, has any regrets yet about voting for the guy who took just a year to get the war drums going again

Hi. You’re welcome to disagree, but I don’t think that we’ve actually yet seen any steps that suggest Biden will go to war with Russia. That said, I will certainly eat crow if Biden gets us into a war. As of now, I don’t see a tangible difference between the two administrations when it comes to use of military force, and for that I am sad. I do not yet see much difference between the escalations from Biden on this and similar initial escalations under some previous Presidents including Trump. Where Trump deserves credit is that for all his bluster and some of the military efforts I disagreed with, he did not ever push us into war.

Edited to add: some hilarious timing here. I haven’t had as much time to browse lately, so it’s entertaining that I happened to be addressed and was able to so quickly respond. If I’ve missed any other call outs, feel free to let me know. I make no attempts to hide from anything here, I just don’t always see them.
