I don't know what would be better.

1. Rams beating the Niners. Ending their run and Stafford getting his SB appearance after getting his ass whooped for years.

2. Shanahan making the superbowl and losing again.

Not sure which would be better.

I'm leaning towards the former.

Either way, rooting AFC all the way. Chiefs, Bills or Bengals. Love Andy Reid, and I'll always root for a small market team who's never won a Superbowl

If Stafford hadn't been stuck in Detroit all those years he'd probably have a couple rings.

No, maybe he sneaks 1. He came into a super talented team. LA Rams were just in the Super Bowl a few years ago with the same basic team. Though they were missing Gurley but they still have Cupp, Woods, Donald, Higbee, etc. Stafford basically came in and had a shot to blow right up.

50/50 game in nfc. Rams are very good.

Rams should beat the Niners. But it's the NFL anyone can win any game. And there isn't a massive gulf in talent. Both have skills. But the Rams have for my money the best defensive player in the NFL still in Donald. Stafford is a better QB than Garoppolo.

Yeah - I was very confident against both Cowboys/Packers.

Can't get a good feeling about Rams. I think htey are pissed niners have owned them and are going to come out tough.

Sean Payton stepping down as Saints Head Coach. Looking like he will go to TV work like Brees. Cant blame him, get paid almost as much to work .01% as much. If this is it for him as a coach it was an incredible run. How many coaches can say they were never fired. Hopefully Dennis Allen the DC is the new HC. He likely was going to be a hot commodity for HC positions anyways.

The Saints being in cap hell and no qb on the roster probably had a lot to do with his departure. They kicked it down the road as long as they could.

Always liked the smug guy.

Peyton goes to the booth for a 2 years at most before Jerry Jones throws more money than he should at him.

Anyone giving Bengals a chance?

Burrow seems like he will rise to a big game.

They have the offense to compete with anyone. Their defense is pretty suspect though. Titans could have mopped the floor with them with better QB play. AJ Brown had the defense beat twice over the top and RT over threw him. Derrick Henry clearly wasn't 100% either.

Of course the Chiefs defense is not very good either, but I'll take Mahomes over Burrow if it comes to a shootout.

Yeah - Tannehill killed you guys.

Could have easily won that game.

Hey you need a quarterback I know a guy who'll be on the market.

So lots of talk about OT. I think it was Chris Rose who brought up the good point that Mahomes has now been on both sides of this coin. Losing AFCCG in OT without taking the field, now winning a playoff game.

To me the OT rules in the NFL don't make a ton of sense and there's 2 ways to solve it. The not good way of playing shorter quarters and the winner at the end of that quarter wins. Say 10 minutes, perhaps 5 with 2 minute timing rules. Continue until a quarter ends with a winner.

Or my personal favorite, a spin on the old college football style. Start the teams out at the 40, put on a clock if you want it to go faster too. Also severely push back the extra point distance to be a 45 yard line.

A variation of the college rule would be best. I'd even say no extra points allowed. Every time there's a TD you have to go for 2.

That could backfire with the second team failing for 2 as well. If you make the Extra point a difficult field goal they'll consider going for 2 anyway.
